Geneviève is entering her twenty-fifth year of coaching artistic swimming and brings deep technical leadership to GO Capital. An NCCP Level 3 certified coach, she served as Assistant Coach for the Canadian Junior National Team in 2013 and 2014. Earlier, she contributed to Quebec’s Junior Provincial Team staff in 2009, 2010, and 2012, and supported Team Quebec at the 2011 Canada Games. Before joining GO Capital in 2016, she was Co-Head Coach at Dollard Synchro. Since then, Geneviève has guided athletes to multiple provincial and national titles by pairing precise fundamentals with musicality, resilience, and trust. Her practices emphasize clear standards, smart progressions, and performance under pressure, shaping confident swimmers who compete with poise and pride.

Amy Cameron is an NCCP Competition Development certified coach with nine years of experience guiding athletes from first strokes to high-performance pathways. She has coached recreational swimmers, adult beginners, and athletes on Ontario’s Provincial Team at the 12U and Junior levels. Known for clarity, consistency, and care, Amy emphasizes crisp basics, stroke quality, and habits that transfer from drills to routines. Beyond the pool, she is a registered pediatric nurse. At GO Capital, Amy partners with technical leadership to align season goals and support athletes as whole people. Her sessions balance purposeful challenge and encouragement, helping swimmers build confidence, enjoy hard work, and deliver results when it counts.

Kristina Anagnosti has spent sixteen years in artistic swimming as both an athlete and a coach, beginning at Gloucester Synchro and competing at provincial and high-performance levels. A founding-era member of GO Capital, she has coached every age category across eleven seasons, shaping athletes through clear standards and encouraging leadership. Her practices emphasize technical basics, musicality, and accountability, helping swimmers build confidence that carries from land to water. Known for positive energy and thoughtful feedback, she runs sessions that are purposeful and fun. Off the deck, she enjoys reading, baseball, and Greek dance—interests that fuel creativity and rhythm when crafting impactful routines.

Maryia Kazartsava brings international depth as a former member of Belarus’s junior and senior national teams, competing for fourteen seasons and earning Sport Master honours. She later coached for the Belarusian Junior Olympic Reserve National Team and worked in China as a choreographer and performer in Beijing and Hainan. At GO Capital, Maryia focuses on high-performance fundamentals: strong body lines, rhythmic precision, and endurance that holds under pressure. Her training blends exacting technique, musical awareness, and progressive sets that convert difficulty into reliable execution. She mentors athletes to manage nerves, recover quickly, and compete with composure. Now in her fifth season with the club, Maryia helps GO Capital athletes pursue ambitious goals and present polished, powerful performances consistently.

Mélissa Pilon brings thirteen years in artistic swimming as an athlete and six as a coach, pairing creativity with organized, athlete-first planning. She loves designing and refining choreography that pushes skills while keeping training upbeat and purposeful. Currently studying Psychology with a Theatre minor at the University of Ottawa, she blends communication, attention to detail, and stage awareness to elevate performance quality. At GO Capital, Mélissa supports athletes and administration, connecting logistics to long-range goals. Her practices emphasize strong body positions, tempo control, and repeatable progressions that build confidence. Dedicated and prepared, she fosters a hard-working environment where athletes feel supported—and where consistent habits deliver improvements and routines that land when pressure rises.

Frédérique “Freddy” Desjardins combines eleven years in the sport as an athlete and four as a coach, bringing energy, creativity, and care to every practice. She studies Childhood and Youth with a Communications and Media minor at Carleton University and aims for a career in child psychology. As Social Coordinator and a Coach, Freddy builds team culture through inclusive training, clear goals, and routines that athletes love. Her sessions balance technical detail and joy, helping swimmers develop resilience, responsibility, and pride in progress. Freddy values friendships and community, creating spaces where athletes feel seen and supported. She’s excited to share her love of artistic swimming and help GO Capital athletes perform with confidence when it matters most.

Alexa has been involved in artistic swimming for more than 10 years as an athlete at both the competitive and high-performance level. She loves every aspect of the sport, but her favorite part is creating new routines and getting to compete them. Alexa has been involved as a coach at GO Capital for 5 years. As a coach, she strives on having a positive and encouraging environment in and out of the pool and helping athletes reach their goals! Alexa is in her first year of university at the University of Ottawa where she is studying human kinetics with the goal of becoming a physiotherapist.

Alex has been involved in artistic swimming since the age of 11, after watching her older sister (Kristina) compete in the sport for several years. She’s been coaching in the recreational and regional streams since 2016 and is happy to be back at GO Capital for another season! Outside of the pool, Alex works full time in childcare and enjoys cooking, watching sports, and dancing. She’s excited to share her passion for teaching and artistic swimming this year!

Brenna has been involved in Artistic swimming for over 15 years, swimming with her hometown club Brant before moving on to the University of Ottawa. She has been coaching the uOttawa Novice team for the past three years. This is her first year at GO Capital and she is eager to share her passion and enthusiasm with the team!

Danika has been passionate about artistic swimming since the age of 10. She has coached recreational and regional league teams, as well as the University of Ottawa’s Novice team for the past three years. After a few years away from the club, Danika is thrilled to be back on the pool deck and sharing her love of the sport once again.

This is Dilara’s 10th year in artistic swimming, including 3 years on the high-performance stream. Her favourite parts of the sport are meeting new people from all across Canada, making friendships and sharing her passion for artistic swimming. She is excited to introduce swimmers to the sport while helping them develop their skills, confidence, and creativity. Besides coaching, Dilara is a certified lifeguard and swim instructor, with all required first aid certifications.

Ella has been involved in artistic swimming for over 6 years. She has participated in GO Capital’s Recreational, Regional and Competitive programs. She loves artistic swimming because it combines dance and swimming, her two favourite sports. She is looking forward to her second year of coaching and can’t wait to share her love of synchro with other young athletes this season! Ella is currently working on her National Lifeguard certification and has completed Bronze Cross, CPR and Standard First Aid.

Emma has been part of GO Capital Artistic Swimming for 11 years and this is her second year coaching. She holds her National Lifeguard (NL) and Standard First Aid certifications. What Emma loves most about synchro is the chance to express herself creatively through routines. Her goal this year as a coach is to help make the season the most fun and memorable one yet!

Elly Cross is an NCCP Level 3 certified coach and NCCP Level 1 coach evaluator. She has been involved in artistic swimming for 20 years as an athlete and coach, and this year will be supporting GO Capital coaches with replacement coaching. She loves coming up with new ways to teach skills and to support swimmers in achieving their personal goals.

Ella is heading into her 11th year of swimming, which she got into after watching her older sister, Kaisa, compete for many years. She began coaching with AquaGO! two seasons ago and is excited to be back at GO Capital for another amazing year. Outside of the pool, Ella is in grade 11 and works as a lifeguard and swim instructor. When she’s not in the water, she enjoys art, music, and trying new things. She’s looking forward to sharing her love of artistic swimming and helping create a season full of fun, growth, and great memories!

This is Gabrielle’s 8th year doing artistic swimming and her 2nd year coaching. Her favourite parts of the sport are being able to choreograph creative routines and meet new people. She is looking forward to introducing swimmers to the sport while developing their abilities and creativity. Besides coaching, Gabrielle is a certified lifeguard and swim instructor.

Josée has been involved in the sport of artistic swimming for 19 years, with 7 of those years being as a coach. As an athlete, Josée started swimming in her hometown in New Brunswick and had the chance to represent her province at Canada Games and after moved to Montreal to train at the high-performance level. She has had the opportunity to coach at several different clubs, meeting lots of athletes and coaches along the way.

Lauren has been involved in artistic swimming for over a decade as an athlete, coach, and volunteer judge in the summer in her hometown of Montreal. She’s coached provincial 11–12 teams, adapted artistic swimming, and masters. Passionate about inclusion, Lauren is dedicated to creating a space where athletes are supported equally through both success and setbacks. Off deck, she is also a certified lifeguard, a varsity artistic swimmer, and a student in second-language teaching and elementary education. Fun fact: Lauren trained in aerial hoop and contortion at the École Nationale de Cirque!

Luba started her artistic swimming journey before GO Capital existed, with Ottawa Synchro, where she swam for six years until University. During her studies at Queen’s, she took a break from competing and coached Novice artistic swimmers competing in CUASL, representing Queen’s Gaels. When she moved back to Ottawa in 2019 to pursue her Engineering career with the Canadian Public Service (DND), she came out of “retirement” and joined GO Capital as a Competitive Master’s swimmer, and a Recreational + Regional League coach. As a coach, she is passionate about facilitating individual athletic development at any stage through increased body awareness, helping and encouraging athletes to achieve their goals through positive reinforcement, as well as making the sport more accessible and inclusive to all demographics.

Madison has been swimming with the club since its first season back in 2016, now being a member of the junior high performance team. Her favourite part of the sport is creating lifelong friendships with teammates and the technical aspects of artistic swimming. Madison has been involved as a coach with GO Capital for the past four seasons. She loves helping new athletes learn new skills and the basics of the sport in a fun and safe environment. Madison is a certified lifeguard, holding multiple certifications in first aid. She looks forward to working as a coach for the 2025-2026 season!

Madeline has been involved with artistic swimming since she was 6 years old. She swam for the Olympium for 12 years and has just started her first season at GO. Her favourite part of the sport is meeting new friends and creating lifelong memories with her teammates! Madeline loves helping athletes reach their goals while creating a safe and positive learning environment in and out of the pool.

Mia is a Grade 11 student entering her 10th year of artistic swimming. This season she begins her coaching career with GO Capital, leading short term recreational programming. Mia is passionate about sharing her knowledge with younger athletes and supporting them as they pursue their dreams. Her favourite part of artistic swimming is the friendships and teamwork that make the sport so rewarding. She holds multiple certifications including National Lifeguarding, Standard First Aid with CPR-C and AED, AquaGO!, Diversity and Accessibility, Safe Sport, and Airway Management.

Sofia was an athlete in the sport for 14 years and has coached previously for 3 years. She grew up with artistic swimming and the sport helped shape who she is today. Shannon has been involved in artistic swimming for over 20 years. As an athlete, Shannon competed at the high-performance level and has continued swimming with the GO Capital Masters team after returning to Ottawa following University. She has coached several extra routines with GO Capital the past few years and loves creating new routines that are artistic and highlight swimmers’ strengths. Outside of the pool, she is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

Sophia has been involved in artistic swimming since she was 9 years old. She has coached athletes from 10U to masters, and loves bringing positivity to the pool deck. Sophia will be supporting the club as a supply coach this season.

Sophie has been an artistic swimmer for 11 years and has volunteered with GO Capital’s recreational program for the past two years. Talia has been involved in artistic swimming for 8 years, first trying the sport at 19 as a novice swimmer with the uOttawa Gee-Gees. Last season, she swam with the GO Capital Masters team and coached the uOttawa Novice team and extra routines. She’s a PhD student in Philosophy and excited for her second season on the GO Capital coaching staff.

Téa has been an athlete at GO Capital Artistic Swimming for over seven years. Her love of swimming inspired her to become a lifeguard. In addition to her National Lifeguard course, she has certifications in Airway Management, Lifesaving Swim Instructor, Standard First Aid with CPR-C and Emergency First Aid with CPR-B. She currently swims on the Junior competitive team. This season, she is looking forward to meeting new athletes and making meaningful connections; her favourite part of artistic swimming is the community our club creates.
